Position Overview
Replications, Inc. is seeking enthusiastic and highly skilled Academic Support Specialists with demonstrated experience providing in-class, small-group, and individualized academic support in Math, ELA, and other core academic skills. The Academic Support Specialist will collaborate closely with classroom teachers to ensure that academic interventions and supports align with classroom instruction, lesson plans, and students’ individual learning needs. This position reports directly to the Community School Director and works collaboratively with school administrators, teachers, and other Replications staff to support student academic achievement. Applicants must be committed to working with students in grades K–5, have experience providing academic interventions and enrichment, and demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with educators and school-based teams.

Position Overview

The Academic Support Specialist will collaborate closely with classroom teachers to ensure that academic interventions and supports align with classroom instruction, lesson plans, and students’ individual learning needs. Applicants must be committed to working with students in grades K–5, have experience providing academic interventions and enrichment, and demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with educators and school-based teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and small group sessions focused on implementing strategies to increase math and other academic skills
- Manage and foster relationships with scholars, teachers, and relevant stakeholders to ensure academic interventions are aligned
- Assist with developing lesson/unit plans and collaborate with classroom teachers
- Generate learning materials and resources to assist students in their learning
- Facilitate and monitor instructional accommodations under teacher supervision, including students with IEP’s and/or special needs
- As appropriate, assist in the facilitation of curriculum development,
- Provide extra academic support for all participants.
- Attend program meetings and professional development workshops as coordinated by program leadership.
- Participate in special events, staff meetings, program committee, monthly cohort Services Department meetings, and all school trips/afterschool events.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Community School Director
Qualifications
- Bilingual speakers are preferred
- Is willing to collaborate with other educators in developing and implementing lessons
- Can develop lesson plans and academic interventions based on student needs
- Demonstrates strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills used to recruit and engage students and families
- Possesses strong class management skills to be used in support of teachers as requested

Requirements
- DOE Fingerprinted
- Has a BA/Bs in math, science, or education
- Has an affinity for mathematics, writing, science, and other academic areas as demonstrated by previous positions
